The Mighty WordPress

WordPress is an open source CMS, often used as a blog publishing application powered by PHP and MySQL. It has many features including a plugin architecture and a templating system. Used by over 300 of the 10,000 biggest websites, WordPress is the most popular blog software in use today.

WordPress is by far the best blogging platform I have ever seen. Yes, I am love with this too (wow I love lots of things don’t I?) I also bet you guys are wondering why I am even bothering to make this post. It seems so random and nonsensical, because everybody knows WordPress, and Everybody Loves WordPress, so what’s my point?

Let’s start at the core shall we? For starters, the programmers over at WordPress.org seem to know what their doing, I mean WordPress is pretty advanced for something that’s free. There’s always an answer to your problems in their forums and they fix any bugs almost as quickly as they show up. There’s nothing really to complain about. I do give the WordPress a high rank, as they are awesome.

I really do love those templates. They are awesome too. ^_^ Actually I make WordPress themes, and it quite hard, I think my only complaint about the WordPress platform is the theme scripting is very easy to make errors in the code due to people being human. But I guess that’s all the learning process, because no two themes are alike therefore no two theme code structure can really be the same. So I guess I really just canceled out my argument. How lovely.

As for WordPress.com I love it, I use this for alot of the blogs I do, well actually I only use it for like 2 or something, all of my other blogs/sites built on the WordPress platform are all self-hosted. WordPress.com offers alot of stuff. The fact that its hassle-free to set up and the additional stats system they offer is quite powerful. I really do enjoy looking at my Zero hits per day =) They also give you some amazing themes, but somethings they are too standard for my taste, but I love all of the themes never the less. I don’t like the fact that we have no plugins though, but I guess you had to trade something for something.

But I mean WordPress is so much more than anyone could’ve ever guess, and I love it no matter what =) So you guys keep working man, I’ll keep making my themes and support this platform as best as I could!
